usa team basketball 2016 rio க்கான பட முடிவுTeam USA, two wins away from a gold medal, will play Spain in the semifinals at the 2016 Olympics Friday afternoon. Tipoff is at 2:30 p.m.

The Americans cruised past Argentina on Wednesday, 105-78, in the kind of rout many expected from Team USA (6-0) when the Summer Games opened up.

Spain (4-2) has won four straight games after a slow tournament start. It easily moved past France in the quarter-finals, securing a 92-67 win.

Pau Gasol, the sixth leading scorer in the Olympics, averaging 17.0 points, leads the way in what could be his final Olympics. He is joined by NBA players Nikola Mirotic, Jose Calderon, Ricky Rubio and New York Knicks 2015 second-round pick Willy Hernangomez, who scored 18 points in Wednesday's win against France.

Friday's matchup is a rematch of the last two Olympic gold medal games, both won by the United States.

The winner on Friday advances to play the Australia-Serbia winner for the gold medal.
